Moving Truck Headaches

So, we had a little issue with our truck reservation the other day. U-Haul sent us an email confirmation after Will talked to them on the phone and said that we could have the truck from 6pm Aug 31 till before 6:30am Aug 31. Now does that make any sense to you? So, he called them up and told them what he told them last time how we need it pretty much for 24hrs, and they said the couldn't do it, but that the 6:30am Aug 31 was a typo and was meant for us to have the truck from 6pm Thurs to 6:30am Friday. How does that work when we don't get our keys until 9am?? We told them that, and they said that it was stupid that we don't get our keys until 9am and that there was nothing they could do for us.

Next, out of desperation, Will called National Truck and Car Rental, got a quote for 24hrs. Talked to me and I gave him my credit card info to reserve it. Will calls back not even 20 minutes later from talking to them before and they said that the person he talked to assumed there was a truck available when there really wasn't.

So, Will is going through the phonebook and FINALLY we get a confirmation (I still won't believe it until we have the keys in our hands for the truck) with a confirmation number for 24hrs starting at 5pm Aug. 31. We are now with Budget in Kanata (which is a little extra for gas, but we were getting desperate). I knew that we were not supposed to start looking for trucks half-way through the month of the busiest moving time in North America, but I just kept forgetting.

But now, we have a truck for sure, we know where we're picking it up, we know what time we're picking it up at, we have a confirmation number, we know what our rate is, so hopefully nothing else goes wrong with our moving as there is only 14 days!!! CRAZY!!!
