Life is always full of surprises, so then why do people dislike them so much?
It's not like we can script our life to perfection for our approval. We just live life the way it comes at us.
Rain is a surprise, as well as sports events, delays in traffic, weather storms, and engagements.
We don't know 100% of what lies in front of us each day, which is why it makes things more exciting.
I am someone who likes surprises to a certain extent. For example, finding out I have a job, or getting an extension, or getting engaged (which I am not yet, so don't freak out that I haven't told you).
But there are always surprises that scare me which may not always be a bad thing that happens to me, but I get scared anyway. For example, starting out at a new job, hearing about homicides in the city (on busses), pregnant cat, getting a bad grade, a shoe flying off my foot in the middle of the street.
It's because of the bad-scary surprises that make me more cautious in the world and wary of the people in it. The happy-scary surprises make me reflect on life to the fullest and make me wonder what the future does hold for me, even though what I imagine it will be like is completely the opposite of what it is!!
Which makes for an exciting life... to see how different my expectation is from reality
