I'm just sitting here waiting for time to run out. I was told to make sure that the person I was replacing would still have work when he came back from vacation, and I just looked at the pile of work that was left to do, and I realized I should've left him more. So, I'm just sitting here waiting for time to pass, thinking about the millions of things I need to be doing within the next 7 days.
I cannot believe that in one week's time from now, I'll be in a new house, hopefully mostly unpacked and painted!! I know everyone is probably sick of hearing me talk about moving and packing and paint and such, but there really isn't any other thought that goes through my head except for that.
My phone at work had been broken a day after I replaced someone on vacation, and it finally works (after new cords didn't do it) when all of a sudden, the phone rang. It really startled me, as if that shouldn't really be happening, or someone with super powers was able to get through the line, but no one else was. It ended up being the phone company calling to say - your phone is now working. Well, clearly!! The phone rang and I could answer it!! Luckily there weren't too many messages to handle.
I'm slowly running out of food. Our freezer is practially empty (except for an ice cube tray and freezies, I believe) and our fridge is diminishing in fullness. Our cupboards still have food, but I'm going to get sick of having the same stuff for the next week. I usually look forward to having a meal when I get home that has been cooked on the stove or in the oven, and not just microwaved or eaten cold. That's pretty much what I eat at work, so I need a change, but with me having to pack when I have time (the weekend) that leaves no other option than peanut butter sandwiches and soup and chef boyardee for meals.
6 sleeps left!!
