Moving Day, Part I

So, today we embark on the craziest weekend ever!! Atleast this year I'm not required to work (and close) at a restaurant while attempting to move.

Everything is packed up, including the last of the sparkle balls for the cats (I found 21 of them under the stove the other day!!). I finished last night around 10pm (not too bad, wished it was earlier, as I still had to head into work today, and not Will) and ended up sleeping on the couch, for a horrible night's sleep.

Couches are meant for naps, not for nighttime sleeping!!!

So, after playing with the cats for an hour on the couch at 3am, I finally could get back to sleep for a few hours before I had to head out to work.

Will stayed home today to finish his cleaning and priming of the walls. He was taking the hoards of garbage that we had piled up last night and talked with the super and how they're renovating the whole building as people vacate their individual apartments, so he said we didn't have to bother priming the walls (why did they tell us that at inspection time, then??).

Will is picking me up at work today, so I had to give him specific directions, and tell him where I would meet him, and then we head out into rush hour!

We pick up our truck at 5pm (after eating the 10th meal of fast food in a row) and move with the elevator booked between 6-8pm ready to hand the keys in by 8pm.

From there we head to my mom's where we are spending the night with all our cats, and hers, and Stephanie's to pack up the rest of Steph's stuff and our furniture that we bought from Jenn & Scott.

Who knows what time we will be done packing everything up, but we're up again for the new set of keys at 9am the next day!!

Part II will follow shortly...
